ACIFA makes itself available to member associations in the preparation for collective bargaining. Providing advice and assistance in the negotiation and enforcement of member associations’ Collective Agreements, ACIFA will even provide advice on negotiations, negotiate at the table, serve as a nominee, or present at interest and grievance arbitrations. ACIFA monitors provincial negotiating activity in the province for the benefit of all members. ACIFA also assists and advises member associations on the handling of grievances, conducting or brokering workshops on negotiating techniques and strategies, as well as grievance handling.
